Saturday in Otavalo, Ecuador is a colorful affair. That day, hundreds of vendors come out of the woodwork to sell their wares. The intrepid explorer can find everything from cobs and stalks of corn, live pigs, dead pigs, lambs, chickens, blankets, shawls, jade statues of Inca deities, painted gourds, beaded necklaces, lapis lazuli rings and even those silly fedoras everyone wears down there.
