I'd spied the steep and delicious north ridge of Copper Point from nearby Wallaby Peak and shortly after suggested to Ram that we check it out. Perusing the Beckey guide, the aesthetic line was sandbagged at 3rd class.
Making the short and pretty approach to the ridge, we were shocked by how steep and narrow, loose and exposed this "class 3" ridge was. Turns out, it was only class 4 but the exposed and loose crap was unnerving at times. We opted for a different way down...then headed to Pica Peak.
Eventually regathering on the summit of Pica Peak, Mark and I bid farewell to the others (who were headed on to Blue Lake Peak) and started down from the col east of Pica Peak. DB and I were headed to the Selkirks!
