Double-A and I headed out one morning to bag Mount Everest. Not the big peak over there somewhere in Asia, but rather, my name for a minor peak just north-northeast of McFarland Peak in the Spring Mountains near Vegas.
With a pleasant hike up the north ridge, we built a small cairn on the summit and then dropped down into the canyon to the immediate west. With easy hiking, some brush, and a fun class 3 downclimb mid-way down, we found a neat shelter cave at a major confluence and stopped for a bite to eat.
On the way out, wild horses in the trees!
