Hillman Peak from The Watchman, with Mount Thielsen visible in the distance at right

Hillman Peak, while not the highest peak in Crater Lake National Park (that belongs to Mount Scott), is the highest peak on the rim of Crater Lake, a giant caldera from the volcanic eruption of Mount Mazama some 7,700 years ago.

With a short approach and little in the way of elevation gain, the small, rocky summit can be had with minimal effort. The views, as one might imagine, are terrific.
